During the few days at Popa Falls, one of the top attractions, is the Mahango Game Reserve, within the large Bwabwata National Park.
Of the large Bwabwata National Park, with covers the Caprivi Strip, is neighbouring Chobe National Park to the east, and the Okavango Delta to the south, the eastern section of Mahango Game Reserve, is the only area accessible by 2WD vehicles.
The best time to see wild lives is early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Most animals go hidding in their shelters during midday.

So it is in the early morning that I left my camp and drove the short 15 Km or so to the park.
On the way there, a village attracted my attention, it provides the first opportunity for me to see what the local dwellings are like....at least from the outside.
There were also firewoods on the roadside for sale,
It was quite early on a cold morning, but the children were not wearing much,
I was happily chatting to the children about their schools etc., suddenly an old lady appeared, probably their grandma, and she began asking for money. I did not think it appropriate to encourage this type of behaviour especially in front of the children, so I left. Others may have different opinion of this, but that's how I felt, charities can be done in many ways, but this seemed not the way to do it.
A few kilometers later, basked in the early morning sun, I entered Mahango Game Reserve....and soon...
A large hippo family lazing around the swamp,
And some huge baobabs,
And then later in the late afternoon....
Now it's time to go...towards central Namibia.

This one is big enough to live in it..
